CSV Lombardia Sud is a non-profit association, founded under the name Cisvol in 1997 as provided by Article 15 of the Framework Law on Volunteering (L.266/91), in 2018 it has transformed into CSV Lombardy Sud incorporating the CSV of the provinces of Lodi, Mantova and Pavia. CSV Lombardia Sud is included in the national list of Service Centers for Volunteering (below, CSV), under art. 64, paragraph 5, lett. j) of the Legislative Decree 3 July 2017, No 117 (Code of the Third Sector).
All CSV associations in Lombardy operate based on an Annual Activity Plan defined in areas taking into account the recipients, thus creating 4 production areas:
Area 1 - Organizations - qualification management aspects of organizations: CSV designs and delivers interventions of different types and complexity to support organizations that, through the decisive contribution of volunteers, take actions of general interest within the communities.
Area 2 - Area Citizens and Volunteers - Youth and Adult Volunteer Orientation: CSV is called to continue to act new mandates on the development and support of active citizenship to encourage the construction of experiences of participation (with particular reference to young people and inactive) that put in relation individual commitment and generated social value.
Area 3 - Area Culture - Promoting the culture of volunteering and solidarity: CSV aims to promote cultural actions to promote processes of learning and collective reflexivity, on social phenomena, starting from the action of volunteering itself, and involving in a logic of alliance different worlds and actors.
Area 4 - Territorial Animation - CSV supports the subjects of the territory in social design and intervention around themes/problems that they recognize as important. The area takes on the task of triggering planning and catalyzing resources by putting in place actions of understanding, restructuring, reworking and flanking the thematic and territorial networks; promoting actions to support the connection and collaboration between citizens, institutions, offices; stimulating and accompanying processes of collective learning, developing awareness of the meaning of social action in citizens, organizations and communities. CSV Lombardia Sud is divided into 4 territorial offices in Cremona, Pavia, Lodi and Mantova, and 3 delegations in Casalmaggiore, Crema and Vigevano.
The headquarter of Cremona, the legal headquarter of CSV Lombardia Sud, has been welcoming European volunteers for almost a decade and is committed to promoting mobility initiatives by collaborating with other organizations.
Tools of these areas remain the support, development and promotion of volunteering, designing, managing and providing on the macro-territory services of advice, training, promotion, communication and territorial animation aimed at other associations, citizens and local communities. The target are young people, adults, voluntary organizations, volunteers, local communities, public and private institutions and schools.
