University of Economics - Varna was established as Bulgaria’s first Higher School of Commerce on 14 May 1920. Since then has trained over 110,000 economists, both Bulgarian and international, with international students from over 60 countries. We are partners with 258 universities from 45 countries and we are one of the three locations (along with Valencia and Toulouse) for UK’s Nottingham Business School work placements. UE - Varna has been accredited and certified as an academic and research organization as per ISO 9001:2008. Over the years the academic and research facilities have been continually improved and modernized.
The mission of UE – Varna is to be a leading educational and scientific institution with an established identity in Bulgaria, focused on providing high quality training for students in line with the concept of lifelong learning, conducting significant research and offering competitive solutions with sustainable economic and social effect.
Main aims are: Teaching subjects in line with leading European educational standards; Forming the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge, skills, high professional awareness and economic culture in its students; Implementation of socially significant research activities ;Providing the necessary conditions for growth and professional development of academic and other staff; Establishment and development of sustainable partnerships in education, business, public administration etc
