Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

The Fafe Red Cross (Delegação de Fafe da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa) is a part of the Portuguese Red Cross and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. We work to provide humanitarian and social aid, especially to those most vulnerable. In Fafe, we're focused on what can broadly be categorized as social issues: from providing food and clothing to vulnerable and disadvantaged families; to programs designed to develop personal and professional competencies; promoting the integration of socially excluded populations; school transports for special needs children; educational programs in matters of health, social inclusion, gender equality, etc for children and teenagers; and leisure activities for both senior citizens and youths from disadvantaged communities. We also work in the health sector, providing transportation for medical patients, courses in first aid and emergency, and providing emergency teams in public events. We have a robust body of volunteers, as well as an active Red Cross Youth Volunteer sector.
