Strachota Fondation exists since 2004 and organized various activites of integration for locals of Psie Pole district in Wrocław, including: festivals, competitions, trips. Curently, the main action of Strachota Fondation is running the Ecological Kindergarten which is an educational institution where about 125 children attend this place. Our pre-school students are children aged 2-6 years old, grouped in various group depending on age. Every group contains about 25 children. In the Ecological Kindergaten we are fostering ecological attitudes among the youngest citizens alongside healthy lifestyles, respect for the enviroment, taking care of nature, curiosity and tolerance of other people and cultures. Furthermore our goals include: – assisting children in developing talents and the intelectual activites needed them in everyday situations and in futher education, – raising children to better orient themselves in what is good and evil, building their system of values, – development of children emotional resilience necessery to rationally manage new and difficult situations and deal with mild stress and failures, – social skills development of children that are necessery for correct relationships with other children and adults, – creating favorable conditions to a common and consistent play and teaching kids with diverse manual and intellectual capabilities, – concern for health of children and encourage them to participate in sport, – building children's knowledge of the social, natural, technical world, develop ability to present their thoughts in an understandable way to others, – introduce kids to the aesthetic values world and develop the skills to express themselves through music, drama and visual arts, – forming in children a sense of social belonging (to the family, peer group and national community) and patriotic attitudes, – provide children with better educational opportunities by supporting their curiosity, activity and selfreliance, as well as the development of knowledge and skills that are important in school education. Our kindergarten is a place of comprehensive capability development in children helped with: art classes, ceramics, design classes, chess, math, English, music and drama. We also have a large gym, which holds various sport activitis and music for kids: football, tennis, taekwon-do, zumba dance, general gymnastic, drama. Our preschool garden has an area of 7500 m2, beautifully covered with trees, with a playground, sledge hill and garden cultivated by chidren. In our kindergarten we also have a place for children with special educational and health requirements for example: chronically ill children, with Autism etc. We have room for sensory integration method exercises. We organize a large, urban project called the Strachota Dragon Rally. The name comes from the legend of the Dragon who lived in the area where the kindergarten is located in Wroclaw. There is the event which is organized every year for about 1500 children from 50 kindergartens in our city. We organize a rally together with our partner Public Kindergarten No. 2 in Wroclaw. The rally takes place in one of the most beautiful parks in Wrocław, Szczytnicki Park which is located near the famous Century Hall, an important monument in our city. The event's atmosphere is fun and competetive. This entertaiment engages and conects the activity of educational institutions as we are with the local community of our city. The ruls of The Strachota Dragon Rally are simple. In the park there are 5 points where children have various attractive activities which they have to pass to win the rally, for example: sing a song at the Music Point, draw a picture at the Art Point, take part in a sport game at the Sport Point, and next are the Theater Point and the Ecologic Point with their atractive performances. Children are walking in a group with their teachers on the path from one point to another and take part in activites. At the Final Point children can rest and eat a nice meal and finally every group of children which completed all of the points receive some little awards and hear once again the legend of Strachota Dragon from Wrocław. Next time we are going to organize one extra point on our Strachota Dragon Rally, there will be - The European Point. The idea came from the support organisation for our volunteers – the Prom Foundation with whom we have been cooperating for 3 years. The whole event lasts two days. For 3 years volunteers from our kindergarten have taken part with us in this project, and always have a lot of fun. Many public and non-public kindergartens in our city know this event well and recognize the Strachota Foundation in Wrocław as leader of this special event. A year ago, we received a special congratulatory letter and thanks from several kindergartens in Wrocław for the high level of organization of Strachota Dragon Rally with fresh and creative ideas. It was an honor for us.
