Opis organizacji

The association “Forumul Cetatenesc pentru Actiune Sociala si Educatie Civica”, was founded in December 2003. It has a social, non-political and non-profit character and it doesn’t have a commercial purpose.
The main objective of the organization is to promote young people in Romania, to offer financial support and to stimulate youth activities. The following activities are considered:
- Developing social programs.
- Volunteering stages.
- Rural development.
- Organizing foreign language courses.
- Performing activities in order to support art and culture.
FCASEC Association has enforced a number of courses for young people over the last four years on various topics: volunteering, non-formal education methods, youth projects management, etc. At the leadership of this association there are young people under the age of 30. The youngsters aged between 15 and 25 are in general the ones involved in the activities implemented by FCASEC.
FCASEC Association has implemented, since 2005, various projects funded in Romania by the Youth in Action Program. Even though between 2006 and 2007 the Youth in Action Program was stopped in Romania, the FCASEC association managed to implement, in partnership with a similar organization in Seville (Spain), two bilateral exchange projects (Action 1.1), funded from their own resources. Since 2007, new projects have been implemented, which have given more attention to youth participation and cultural diversity. Therefore, in the summer of 2007, a bilateral exchange called "A multicultural forest" was organized in partnership with the Belgian Wernat Association. The project focused on cultural diversity and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. In March 2008, we organized a course called "Challenges of Intercultural Education", attended by leaders from 8 European Union member states. The aim of the course was to encourage young people to participate to different community actions and multicultural learning opportunities.
Starting with 2012, FCASEC Association opened a branch in Dragasani because we found that also in that community it is a need for voluntary activities regarding the environment’s protection. Since the opening of the branch from Dagasani, 4 EVS projects were implemented between 01.11.2012 - 31.03.2018 (Volunteer for nature; Greeen Rivers; Green life-Choose your side !;)
FCASEC Association has also implemented LLP projects. Between 2006 and 2009, we implemented the Minerva "Educonlinux" project (www.educonlinux.eu), creating a server with online lessons for high school students. Also, between 2006-2009 we implemented a Comenius 2.1 project in order to create courses for teachers of migrant pupils or pupils from national minorities.
In 2008 we implemented a Leonardo da Vinci Mobility project (www.fcasec.traineri.atfpdr.eu) in order to train 12 teachers in “open sources” and “free software” in UK. In 2009, we implemented a new Leonardo da Vinci project (www.payment-instruments.atfpdr.eu), allowing a number of 18 students to go to UK in order to participate to an internship with the purpose to learn how to use payment instruments.
