Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

The main aim of Palestina Solidariteit vzw is to inform the broad public about the situation in Israel/Palestine, as well as to
inform people who deal with this issue regularly such as students, politicians and journalists. The organization consists almost
entirely of volunteers who together organise activities on the issue of Palestine. Besides organizing activities and events
themselves, they also support and advise other individuals, groups and organizations who ask for assistance when they
organise activities related to Palestine.
Working on Palestine brings together people from different age groups and
backgrounds. By learning more about other cultures in general and in Palestine people always find out that they very
often share the same values and hopes and strong bridges are built. Learning about another culture and reality makes
one examine and question their own as well. By becoming more aware of the cultural rules and politics in one's own
country people very often become more engaged, more critical and more active in speaking out their own opinions and
wishes for their own country and society. Working on the issue of Palestine gives people experience and tools in how to
work with Belgian communities, and how to be active politically in their own country
