The workshop for disabled people (WfbM) of IWO gGmbH offers the exemplary integration and support of people with mental, physical and severe multiple disabilities through joint diverse and demanding work opportunities, as well as individual day-structuring, nursing and therapeutic offers.
Optimal structural conditions and professional equipment promote participation in work and community life, rehabilitation, personal and professional training, self-determination and independence for our disabled people.
We are a member of the German Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband and a recognized employment agency for community service and voluntary social year.
Assistance and support area
We encourage, support and give practical help; the disabled people who are not, not yet or not able to work again. The aim is to develop and maintain individual - buried, existing or remaining - physical, mental and social abilities. To this end, we design and develop individual living spaces, quality of life and life prospects for severely disabled people. We give the opportunity to participate in life in the community and promote the realization and development of personality. The spatial proximity to the workshop opens up numerous opportunities for encounters; our orientation group offers the opportunity to test and develop your own skills.
Work area & fields of work
People with physical, mental or multiple disabilities find meaningful employment in our workshop.
Taking into account the individual handicaps, personal inclination and suitability, participation in working life inside and outside our workshop should be achieved. The mandate and goal of our work is, where possible, placement on the general labor market.
Professional and personal qualifications as well as the maintenance and improvement of physical performance are fixed components of our work. We also offer a wide range of educational, therapeutic and nursing measures.
State-of-the-art structural and technical equipment offers diverse fields of work and interesting income opportunities for our disabled employees.
Being able and allowed to work is an essential part of human life. That is why we offer well over 400 workplaces in our workshop for people with disabilities (WfbM).
Vocational training area
Newly accepted disabled employees go through a special training program in the first two years. The focus is on testing skills and inclinations as well as promoting the overall personality. Individual educational plans, diverse educational and practical help and qualification measures prepare the placement for a job in the workshop or for the general job market. Several internships inside and outside our workshop in these two years offer orientation and important knowledge for our disabled employees and our pedagogical specialists.
Employment and rehabilitation promote self-confidence and the feeling of being an equal part of the community in our WfbM.
