Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

The Almería Federation of Associations of People with Disabilities (FAAM) is an entity made up of 17 associations from Almería and the province, with a total of more than 10,000 members. Our main objective is to promote the strengthening of associations and the creation of employment for people with disabilities. We carry out projects and activities in support of people with disabilities offering, among others, these services: advice, associations,
socio-health/ socio-educational assistance, social revitalization, training and employment, and accessibility. Its main objective is to work for achieving the inclusion of the group of people with disabilities, especially those who are especially vulnerable such as women with disabilities, ethnic minorities, rural areas, at risk of social exclusion, etc. It is a member of the Andalusian Confederation of Entities for People with Physical and Organic Disabilities, of the Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities, of the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities, of the Association of Special Employment Centers of the Andalusian Community and of the Business Association of Centers Almeria Employment Specials. FAAM has 377 workers, distributed in headquarters, day centers for the elderly and people with disabilities, residence, nursery schools and occupational center. It also has the support of a volunteer pool that collaborates in all its activities, mainly leisure and free time.
