EkoInkubator (“Eco-incubator”) is Czech non-governmental organization which closely co-operates with Faculty of Social Studies and Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University in Brno. The name of the NGO comes from Eco-Incubator, which has been an activity aimed at environmentally sustainable enterprises: besides a block of subjects, the university students could visit different environmentally beneficial enterprises and then create and start their own. New activities are Symbios - a project of joint housing of university students and people leaving children's homes, and Ekofilm - festival of documentaries about environmental issues. EkoInkubátor is currently working on two projects and it would like to involve two Erasmus+ volunteers in them. The first project is entitled Symbios, which is an innovative take on the “half-way house” – it intends to offer a co-housing facility to young adults leaving Children’s Homes and to Masaryk University (MU) students, thus enabling these contemporaries to handle various life situations naturally. The house will consist of common space for seminars, courses and workshops as well as a social business so young adults will be able to get first work experience there. The second project is the Ekofilm (“Eco-film”) project – an annul documentary film festival on environmental topics. Both projects are based in Brno and almost all activities will be conducted there. EkoInkubator has also experience with cooperation with volunteers (we cooperate on volunteer basis with 10-20 students during every year EkoFilm event.). We are convinced that possibility to take a part as a volunteer in Symbios and Ekofilm projects could be quite a benefitial.
