The “FundaciónNaturaleza y Hombre”is an NGO dedicated to the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage. The objectives of the organization are as follows; conservation of the natural heritage and the traditional activities of the human being, establishing an integrated vision between the human being and the environment, the promotion of protected natural spaces, in collaboration with local and regional authorities participating in its management, restoration of ecosystems and the recovery of endangered species of wild flora and fauna, in line with sustainable rural development and the safeguarding of ethnographic heritage, research and promote education, dissemination and environmental awareness, as well as citizen participation.
These are the objectives of FNYH, which aims to transmit them to the volunteers in this project,through conservation activities such as the recovery of wetlands, conservation of forests, creation of a network of municipal reserves, recovery of vegetal and species of fauna and the production of autochthonous forest species in nursery.
Expected results in relation to volunteers; it will increase knowledge on the conservation of the environment and European biodiversity, as well as having a global perspective on ecology. They are expected to acquire a series of tools that enable them to be trained in a professional setting and that can generate employment opportunities. From a cultural point of view, the volunteers will acquire knowledge of Spain and the region in particular and also, since they will share the experience with volunteers from other countries, it will be added a wider European experience. Finally, language learning will be of great value as they are offered a language immersion from the beginning of volunteering.
Participating partners will benefit from the creation of a new collaboration, which will create bonds for future exchanges and other cooperating activities.
The FNYH hopes to be able to support, help and collaborate with European volunteers and partners and to continue to join other European projects, thus establishing new international ties for the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
