UNIque Junior Enterprise was registered as a non-profit organization in October 2009, based in Tirana, Albania. Being the first Junior Enterprise in Albania, our organization main aim is offering students and youngsters a chance to reduce the gap between the theoretical and practical approach and grow professionally into the post-graduate life. The organization is managed by youngsters and involves them in short run and long run projects while keeping an enlargement perspective at the national level. The main decision making body is the Executive Board. The Executive Board comprises the President, Vice-President, General Secretary and Treasurer. They have the right to vote and be elected and cover the decision-making process in the organization. Next to the Board, the organization has a organizational structure compiled of three main departments. The first department takes care of projects and work in the local and national level. The second department works on a daily basis with project drafting in the international level. In this department is included the office of Erasmus + coordinator. The third department, “IT and Marketing”, handles the marketing campaign in the organizations’ projects and the weekly postings of entrepreneurship quotes and articles; and the IT office in this department takes care of all the IT logistics and covers all the problems that the staff can encounter in any activity. Currently, there are 13 volunteers of UNIque JE. These volunteers are responsible for the daily work of the organization and report on a monthly basis for the duties per each department. UNIque is part of JADE network that is an international, non-profit umbrella-organization of junior enterprises across Europe and managed by youngsters. Moreover, UNIque is affiliated to the University of Tirana, the oldest and largest university in Albania, with a total of 40.000 students. The background of the volunteers of UNIque Junior Enterprise vary from economics, IT, technology, marketing, etc. This creates in itself a greater possibility to involve in several activities with different topics. UNIque Junior Enterprise works based on projects. On monthly basis, the activities of the organization are based on the promotion of entrepreneurship to youngsters. Target groups of UNIque JE activities are students and youngsters from 16-30 years old, willing to develop their professional skills, expand their knowledge and specifically gain more practical training in the field of entrepreneurship and on the first steps of opening a new business. The work of the organization is based in two offices: one space in the campus of the Economic Faculty of the University of Tirana, and one rented office near the center of Tirana. As periodic activities, UNIque Junior Enterprise organizes trainings, seminars, campaigns and engage in street actions to promote entrepreneurship and education. Explicitly: Firstly, the representatives of UNIque JE visit high schools and universities all around Tirana to promote entrepreneurship through youngsters mainly aiming to raise awareness in the field of entrepreneurship and education. These modules are conducted on a monthly basis. By taking part in these activities, the youngsters improve their skills in the lifelong learning process. Secondly, since 2012 we have the exclusive right from Startup Live to organize Startup Live Tirana, one of the biggest events in Europe focused in new business ideas, entrepreneurship, network etc. For this event we cooperate with local and foreign mentors and trainers with significant experience in the field of business, coaching and mentoring, which is concluded with a final competition between youngsters in Albania. This is a regular activity of our organization, and in 2016 we organized our 5th edition. Thirdly, since 2012 we are part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), a global event organized every year in November, where we organize an event about entrepreneurship in Albania, such as trainings, boot-camps etc. As part of the University of Tirana we have a good collaboration with Career Centers in organizing several activities during the year such as the career fair, where we play a crucial part in the organizational part. The organization has a strong network of donors and partners which has grown and consolidated through the years: University of Tirana, Municipality of Tirana, Ministry of Innovation and Public Administration, Raiffeisen Bank, Societe Generale Bank, Eagle Mobile, Yunus Social Business, DM Consulting, duapune.com, Luarasi University, Albanian Association of Municipalities, Albanian Investment and Development Agency, etc.
