NGO “Vzayemopomich” is a youth non-governmental organization, which was established in 2012 from idea and desire of "mutual help - helping others, helping yourself" to other people, by the group of initiative young people from Poltava, Ukraine. We are a group of more than 20 youth/social workers, volunteers, trainers, facilitators, and educators from different regions of Ukraine.
The mission of our organization is to create opportunities for young people to develop their full potential as individuals, responsible citizens of the world, and as active members of their communities. We see the world in which, all young people reach their full potential by creating positive change around them. Thus, our aim is to provide various opportunities for the development of young people and those who work with them.
The activities of our organisation based on voluntary work and the strengths of our members, thus we have several spheres of work, among them, are:
Art, sport, healthy lifestyle, environment protection, social integration, Human Rights, cultural awareness, young people with fewer opportunities, employment, social entrepreneurship, etc.
From 2014, we started to be actively involved in the Erasmus+ programme. Our members have been co-creators of more than 70 projects, in which more than 400 young people/youth workers from all over Ukraine took part.
Our target groups are:
young people aged 16 – 30, with low professional skills or/and with fewer opportunities; internally displaced people (migrants inside the country, who moved from East of Ukraine, where conflict arises); schoolchildren and students; international students; youth and social workers; organisations working with children and young people with special needs (orphanages, special schools, etc.).
Some of our achievements:
- 2016, together with our local partners we implement school of young activist TOSOCO (Tolerance, Solidarity, and Competence) in 3 different regions of Ukraine, supported by European Youth Foundation Council of Europe.
- November 2017, our "Play for Human Rights!" campaign was recognized as the best practice of youth work of 2017 in Ukraine, in the field of Human Rights education and promoting of equality and non-discrimination among young people, according to the national program "Youth Worker" of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
- June 2018, we have been co-organizers of National Training Course on Human Rights Education, which were supported institutionally and financially by Council of Europe and held in small town Bakhmach, Chernihiv region.
- August-September 2018, we hosted first Erasmus+ youth exchange ‘iWork’ in our hometown, which was dedicated to empowering young people falling into a NEET (not in employment, education or training) category.
- December 2018, Capacity Building in the field of Youth – Eastern Partnerships window ‘Young Parents - Young Empowerment!’ project (reference 602355-EPP-1-2018-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBY-EP-PE), in which we are co-organizers has been approved by Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission.
-August 2019 Capacity Building in the field of Youth – Eastern Partnerships window ‘Youth Win! Creating new educative tools on Entrepreneurship’ project (reference 608756-EPP-1-2019-1-MD-EPPKA2-CBY-EP-PE), in which we are co-organizers has been approved by Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission.
- From August 2020, we are members of the community of the organisations that support internally displaced people, which are organised by CrimeaSOS NGO.
