The Croce Rossa Italiana is part of the International Red Cross Movement, whose main aim is to alleviate the suffering of those in crisis, regardless the ground of their discomfort. At national level, Croce Rossa Italiana involves almost 140.00 active members, operating through a network of local Committees that can better address the needs emerging from each and every community. In particular, Croce Rossa Italiana – Comitato di San Severino Marche is a small sub-branch of the CRI- Comitato Regionale Marche, which respond directly to the national Red Cross. The Committee does not cover the health sector in terms of emergency, in the sense that we have ambulances to cover all the services but the emergency calls. Therefore, we specialise on the social area, transportation of sick people, youth and earthquake emergency. Even if it is a small Committee, it can count on the support of a great amount of volunteers, especially in this moment when the emergency of the earthquake is still a reality.
