The Municipality of Bellevigny, based in Vendée, is a semi urban city of about 6,000 inhabitants composed by two towns: Saligny and Belleville sur Vie. It is at about 10 km from La Roche sur Yon, city of 55,000 inhabitants.

The Municipality ‘s Childhood & Youth policy tent to lead the kids and teenagers towards a certain autonomy, developing their sensibility to the citizenship and allowing them to have access to a non-formal training. The Municipality also wishes to open them up to the World, to the European Citizenship and to gain from the cultural diversity and so whatever the age of the person.

In order to meet its aims, the Municipality would like to welcome a European Volunteer within its community, so this person will help the Child & Youth with their personal development, and also make them aware of the cultural, linguistic exchanges and promote the European mobility.
For this project the Municipality develops a partnership with Association- Jeunesse Bellevilloise (AJB ie. Association for the Youth of Belleville) that manages kids after school and during holidays. This structure also applies for receiving the accreditation to welcome a volunteer in SVE.

The Volunteer will also have the possibility to work in a nursery called ‘Le petit Prince’ in order for them to approach a foreign language.

The volunteer will benefit from discovering a workplace linked to the kids and Youth entertainment ‘. He/she will be able to work with these different categories of public during different periods: before/after school, during Wednesday (there is no school on Wednesday in our community) and during public holidays.
In total immersion, he/she will assist a professional team in their day-to-day work, suggests and leads some activities and projects for different public. He/she will have the possibility to share his/her know-how and will build a serious experience on managing a type of kids/Youth and on working within a team.
