Beschreibung der Einrichtung

Patirciu Slenis - Centre for Learning is a Centre for learning, experience and education for children,
teachers, parents and the community. It is a model of learning, education and development for our
children and young people which will prepare them for life and the challenges, victories, learning,
experiences and knock-backs that they will experience on their journeys. The curriculum has a large
emphasis on both Waldorf and Outdoor methodologies which nurture these qualities and
experiences, but also adopts and acknowledges other principles, including traditional far eastern
philosophies of self-awareness and discipline. We want to educate or nurture the whole child – their
mind, body, emotion and spirit. We aim to encourage, and foster an education experience which will
lead to well-rounded young people, with resilience, empathy, compassion, self-worth, confidence and
creativity. There is currently a kindergarten and from August 2018 there will be a primary school. Our
target group is children from 2 years old and upwards, and apart from the daily curriculum, we run
activities for parents, teachers and the wider community - from talks & presentations, courses and
cultural events. We have 15 children between the ages of 2 and 6 and will increase this in the new
term. Our normal working hours are from Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00 with occasional evenings and
weekend events.
