We are a comprehensive secondary school (12-18 years-old) located in a working-class neighbourhood in Malaga. We offer compulsory and non-compulsory secondary education and a vocational training courses on ICT.
We have approximately 600 students from varied origins and social backgrounds. As for staff, our school consists of 55 people, including teachers, one school counsellor, a special needs teacher and a Spanish as a foreign language teacher.

We deal mostly with formal academic training but we eagerly try to engage our students in activities which are not strictly academic, to encourage cultural awareness, voluntary work, critical thinking or personal development, including developing their language skills and an awareness of a European dimension. This is why we yearly develop some programmes which include working for education for peace and sustainable development (in regard to environment and economy), intercultural education, and education for peace and gender equality. Our goals are both to design teaching materials to be learnt in class in different subject to raise awareness on specific issues and to motivate students to take action to make a difference and become aware, critical and responsible citizens.
Last but not least, we develop a programme called “Entrepreneur culture” which focuses on encouraging students to take on social projects to make significant changes in the world around them.
