Beschreibung der Einrichtung

Primary School No. 2 is the biggest public school in our town. The school includes a Music School that develops musical talents and we organized regular cultural events not only for our school but as well for local community. The school has an indoor swimming pool, gym, sports court, playground and own kitchen with a canteen and also daily centres for pupils who need to wait at public transport after lessons. The school is made up of a team of around 1000 pupils aged from 6 to 16 and over 60 qualified teaching staff. Our teachers try to apply innovative teaching methods, individual approach to the student considering his needs and developing his skills. We have well-equipped IT rooms, we work using an electronic journal and our many years of activities for the protection of nature and the development of sport are known not only in our region. Children from various social backgrounds attend the school. A large number of students come from poor families. This situation may result both from the fact that it is a typically agricultural area and many localities are called areas after "PGR" (big farms which collapsed after communism era in Poland) as well as from the geographical location of our region. Nature reserves, breeding ponds and numerous forests is an environment in which there can not be an industry that would provide jobs for Milicz. For this reason, many young people go abroad looking for a job. On the other hand, many of our pupils have never been abroad.
