Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

DW7 is a public benefit organization working in the field of cultural and community activities. Our space is located in the very centre of a beautiful 100,000 inhabitant town of Olomouc and serves as an open space for culture. We work actively at local, national and international level, and strive for the development of contemporary art – whether by active support of new works, presentations of guest artists, or training and development of civic dialogue.
The organization runs the Divadlo na cucky theatre which presents new productions created by a local ensemble as well as productions of the most prominent artists from the Czech Republic and abroad. It also supports mobility of artists by providing them with residencies within the theatre space. One of DW7's main activities is organization of the international Flora Theatre Festival which ranks among the most important events in the field of contemporary theatre and dance in the Czech Republic. Another important activity is also educational work with specific target groups – children and elderly people which focus on developing their creativity and personality and provide them with unique experiences. These activities include workshops for children called "Malí a na cucky", "Dětské Studio" regular classes for children organized each week, yearly summer theatre camp, theatre lessons for schools, "Divadelní studio" for teenagers and above and a SENior theatre workshops organized each week for a group of elderly theatre enthusiasts. Another activity is organization of the community garden Za()hrada which is a place for growing own produce as well as meetings of people of different generations. Furthermore, we have an independent Gallery XY which presents fine art from the Czech Republic and abroad and realizes as well as supports realization of architectonic interventions in the premises of the theatre as well as outside. DW7 involves volunteers in all of its activities and enables them to be part of the organization team and develop their skills in various fields.
