In 1975,the Allgäuer Werkstätten GmbH were founded from a parent initiative of the local Lebenshilfe e.V..Then, as now, it is a concern of parents and carers to help their children and carers to normality and inclusion.The inclusion in an Workingprocess and meaningful social contacts make this possible under the roof of the Allgäu Werkstätten GmbH. Job opportunities that are specially adapted to people with disabilities, combined with support and education, form the basis of the tasks of the Allgäuer Werkstätten GmbH.Currently about 650 people with disabilities are looked after by about 170 employees at the Kempten and Sonthofen locations and in seven facilities.
