Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

Our nursery and primary school was founded in 1993. It was the first Waldorf/Steiner school in the French-speaking part of Belgium. Our goal is to provide quality education for all children, regardless of their social or economic background. Our training pillars are the development of the child in all its human dimensions (physical, psychological and spiritual). We therefore create the conditions for our students to develop in their physical abilities, their social and artistic skills and their intellectual skills. Head, heart and hands, as tools for a responsible, autonomous and free adult life.The children practice many manual and artistic activities: woolwork, sewing, painting, drawing, modelling, theatre, poetry, music. We welcome about 220 children from 2.5 to 12 years old in their school career from 1st kindergarten to 6th primary year, which corresponds to the end of the primary cycle in Belgium. The children are divided into 5 kindergartens and 6 primary classes. The pedagogical team is made up of about twenty teachers (15 full-time equivalent) and 2 educators. The school's natural environment allows for outdoor activities. Through human encounters between students, teachers, parents and the surrounding world, the pedagogy practiced encourages children to take charge of themselves and develops their enthusiasm for learning. Accepting European volunteers in our school is a guarantee of openness to multiculturalism for our students.
