Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

Stredisko Evanjelickej Diakonie Bratislava (center of Evangelical diaconia in Bratislava - one of the 22 diaconal centers of Evanjelicka diakonia ECAV in Slovakia) is senior house which provides social care for seniors-elder people from the age of 62 and more with the level of dependency 4-6 according to the law of social work, number 448/2008 Collection of laws § 35. It is a 24 hours care for elder people about their health, physical comfort, hygiene, up to their spiritual and mental comfort by qualified staff. Everyday in the morning hours clients in the center have various activation programs and afternoons culture programs as for example projection of old movies, concerts or perfomances of children or young people or various people with different programs. Qualified staff is responsible for different types of therapy as for example music therapy, arte therapy, biblio therapy, animo therapy, memory therapy, reminiscence therapy, multi-senzory space, validation. Our most important aim is, to provide dignified aging for our seniors and to spread this attitude to this modern and agitated world that every person has the value. Especially those who are elder inspite of their inactivity or unproductivity or inspite of the status that they are not able to give to the society anything any more, they are still valuable, worthy and have dignity. As the clients are in their high age, they lived in Slovakia in time where for example German language was needed, so lots of them know German language and also English language and like to speak in these languages and it is for them very interesting when they can use their language skill.
