YMCA Hungary (Magyarországi Keresztyén Ifjúsági Egyesület) is a nation-wide reach organisation which converge children and youngsters and which is part of the worldwide organisation being present in more than 125 countries. The main aim of the organisation’s function is to answer the need of youngsters regarding the body-spirit-soul triple and the christian spirituality. The principle of our activity is that well-qualified youngsters address their own age group as well as lead children groups. We reach the youth via young leaders. On our programmes formed by their claims we place great emphasis on things such as streaming values, developing personality and creativity. We claim to provide an opportunity for healthy contemporary communal life to serve as a sample for teenagers and twenty-year-olds for wider community existence in the society. Between these frames we have the possibility to develop their ability to act on their own, to take responsibility such as taking a leader’s role. We also invite them to take part in the works of local groups or even national programs. Our mission is to train our young colleagues, to popularize voluntary work and to broaden our cooperations and partnerships. We take our primary task that our participants can actively take part in our programmes while this activity specifies their future life by developing their personality and strengthen their chances.
Our main areas of work are Ten Sing and Tappancs.

Ten Sing
In Ten Sing (teenager singing) youngsters, between the age of 13 and 19 years, meet once a week to create a concert or show, which includes choir songs, drama, dance and music. The topic of the show is found out by themselves, which they take as an important theme, such as love, future, difference inside a society ect. The concert is only a result, which they present, but the process of preparation is more important for the group. This means the experience and the joy of being together, and to take part in common activities, to glorify Jesus Christ. (http://www.kie.hu/ten-sing/)
Our Ten Sing group (Ten Sing Savariae) have international contacts through the European Ten Sing Group (European YMCA) with other Ten Sing groups across Europe.

Tappancs
The main activity of Tappancs workgroup is organising summer camps for youngsters between the age of 9 and 18 years, where our young colleagues are mainly volunteers with an age of 18 and 26 years.
These summer camps are tent camps, where 4-5 participants live in a tent with a leader, who is all day long with the kids, so they can form a better community.
We camp every year on a meadow in different parts of Hungary and we walk barefoot, our name is therefore paw (Tappancs). But of course we go hiking in the forest with shoes.
We do sports e.g. Indiaca, frisbee, dodgeball, play a lot, and finish every day around the campfire with singing.
During autumn school holidays, Tappancs’s coordinate a leadership training with theoretical and practical courses. (http://www.kie.hu/tappancs/)
During the school year Tappancs’s program is a 1-2 hours long event which consists of Bible study, games and storytelling. It is a monthly event in Balatongyörök and weekly in Budapest. In Budapest there is also a Bible study for the young leaders (16-26 years old).
Tappancs has a strong contact with the german YMCA for over 25 years, and we are member of the European Scouting & Jungschar Group (European YMCA), we have contacts in Czech Republic, Finland, Austria and Slovakia, too.

Jungschar
The main profile of the group Békéscsaba is the Jungschar (special nature and bible focused program for children), Youth-Club, Guitar School, Bible Study. Above these, they organise many mid-year events, such as the literature café. Under their leadership 4 times a year, the Mutató, a newspaper is being published.
