We are a group of teachers who love teaching and think education should be more conceptual, practical, and generally more appealing to the youth of today. Of course, sheer academics is also incredibly important but during our work in International (IB) schools and community schools in the UK and around the world we’ve learned how important outdoor learning for classroom achievements. We can learn factual information inside the classroom, but it is much harder to learn everyday skills for life. Skills combined with facts create concepts and are much easier to grasp and understand.
Mathematics was crucial for the development of trade and engineering as well as for farming. Biology is crucial for survival and farming. Geography, History, Art all the subjects we teach in schools have been developed because they were useful. They served the purpose. And we would like to show your pupils the purpose.
The outdoor activities are one of the most popular ways of enriching the curriculum in the UK, USA or Australia. Learning outdoors has been recognized as a very important part of students’ development. The Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) award gives you additional points when applying to the best Universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
Our aim is to give the development opportunity for kids who cannot afford to participate in such activities. We strongly believe that all students should have similar opportunities. We know it is not always possible, but therefore we decided to go for the trust. We fund outdoor enrichment program for kids who cannot afford to go.
Targer groups: children, youth, people with fever opportunities
With Learn Outdoors nobody stays behind. Kids are our future so let’s make sure the future is going to be good.
Our foundation operates in 3 different areas: work with village and underprivileged students, outdoor education and English Summer Camps. All our activities are strongly connected with education.
