Kindergarten Brezovica vision - through collaboration, professionalism, playfulness, acceptance, tolerance, create an atmosphere in which healthy and happy children will mature and parents and kindergarten workers will be satisfied.
Kindergarten Brezovica is located on 8 different locations inside the municipality of Brezovica. It includes 34 preschool classes of children from age 11 months up to the 6 years of age. We include overall around 500 children, who are cared for, by more than 100 employees.
Kindergarten Brezovica is lead by headmistress, two assistants, a teacher for children with special needs, a dietitian, business secretary and two accountants. Further on, since kidergarten Brezovica has 8 units, they each have its own head of unit.
Programme of public kindergarten is based on the national document called Curriculum for kindergartners. It designs principles of working with preschool children based on the knowledge of child development and offers wide spectre of goals, contents and activities, which insures quality of preschool education. Six fundamental areas guide the Full-Day Early Learning–Kindergarten programme: motor development, social sciences, language, science, maths and arts.
In addition to science, language and other areas - our mission is to organize a balanced and stimulating environment that will allow children to learn through spontaneous play. One that is natural and is not restricted at the expense of teaching content.
A typical day in our kindergartner:

1. Arrival to the kindergarten
2. Breakfast
3. Free play and interaction with friends in the group
4. Morning circle
5. Directed learning activities – indoor and on the terase
6. Snack (fruit, vegetables, water, tea, lemonade)
7. Outdoor activities (playground, walk, field trips…)
8. Lunch (food provided by our own kitchen, with carefully selected and adjusted to pre-school children by nutrituion manager)
9. Rest or quiet activities
10. Snack
11. Child-initiated play
12. Going home
We would like for a volunteer, for about 4 hours daily in the week, to play with children, go to local library with them, go on field trips, watch puppet showes with children, go sledding with children and just enjoy in all the fun activities kindergarten offers on daily basis.
A few years ago a simmiliar project was already happening in our kindergarten. It was well recived from children, parents and all the local comunity. This time we will make this experience countable as well.
We think that whoever comes to spend some qulity time with us, his experice will be a happy, a very active one and one to remember. We would like you to help our children realize that Slovenia is not the only country in the world and slovene is not the only language. To do so, we would be very happy to host volunteers from different countries with different coluture and language. It would give us a great oportunity to help more than 500 children in our kindergarten to teach them about cultural diversity on a positive way and help them to be more respectful to others in the future as adults, who will one day be raising their own children.

Kindergarten Brezovica are currently participating in three main projects:
- Health in kindergarten,
- Ecology,
- Let the heart beat and heart ambassador
In particular, we aim to achieve the following through our projects:
- to teach children to be able to think with their own head,
- provide children with as many genuine and real-world situations as possible, where one could learn through them, experience, gain skills and prepare them for a world in which they will stand in solidarity with one another,
- to be able to influence children parents in area of solidarity.
In the future we wish to have many more projects with main goal of solidaritiy. We find ESE projects as a great opurtunity to do so. At the moment we realize that it is very difficult for us to be an independat candidate for ESE projects.
Teja Kuk, head of Skuhna has been employed in kindergarten Brezovica for many years. When her work grew to such an extent that she could no long work in our organization, she left. Nevertheless, we maintained good contacts with her. Teja gave us an insight into the possibilities that MOVIT offers. So together we have already designed the project "Interculturalism first hand" and treat it as an excellent practice that we would like to repeat in future ESE projects.
Skuhna is a restaurant operating on the principles of social entrepreneurship, which is committed to developing tolerant intercultural relationships. Skuhna was developed by Global Institute, which was the first legal entity through which Teja linked Brezovica Kindergartens to Movit programs in the project "Intercultural First-Hand".

Key role distribution:
Skuhna will offer a well needed support to kindergarten Brezovica from a financial view. They will be supporting organization with a credible basis for decisions that will save kindergarten a lot of time. Skuhna will be an effective support as it will allow kindergarten to operate faster and less costly at the international level. Kindergarten Brezovica will provide volunteers a respectful and quality learning experience. In the future, we will pursue to act on this role autonomously.
