MOH - Mobility Opportunities Hub is a socio-cultural association that has its roots in the city of Bari, in the south of Italy. Its goals are to promote youth mobility among young people, to create synergies with local and European associations and to trace a link between social and artistic work.
The purpose is both to promote opportunities for youth mobility, aimed at building a future with more possibilities, encouraging personal and professional growth, and to activate socio-cultural initiatives, in order to bring an added value to the territory and to cooperate on different levels with public and private bodies. MOH wants to make local and Europe’s youngsters aware of the possibilities offered by the European Union, especially the projects and initiatives dedicated to people from 16 to 30 years old.
MOH believes that all young people deserve to grow up in communities were quality services, opportunities and support are offered, which are necessary to get them into adulthood ready for university, work and civic engagement throughout their lives. For this reason, MOH will strive to coordinate and promote different projects for young people at national, local and European level. At a local level, it will develop partnerships with local authorities and third sector bodies, thanks also to the possibilities offered by the new programme European Solidarity Corps, which offers not only projects for young people from all over Europe, but also for local youngsters, who will be able to work closely with young Europeans.
The intent is to encourage the local youth to meet young people from other European countries. This encounter with the "other", experienced as an enrichment, will spontaneously create an active participation in civil society, facilitating also a change in the reality in which we live.
MOH opens up and puts itself at the service of the entire world of the third sector. This results in the planning, financing, organizing and realising projects of small, medium, large or very large dimensions with local or international fundings and grants.
MOH aims to design, support and take care of the organization on a local, regional, national and international scale of: social intervention activities; medium and long term volunteering and training projects; intercultural and youth exchanges; informational, cultural, social, sporting, recreational and editorial activities; seminars and training courses for associations, social workers and young people; promotion, training and informative initiatives on specific issues related to the third sector, global challenges and membership goals.
The target of MOH are: European and local Youth and NEETs (16-30 years old); local community; local and international NGOs and non-profit organisations; local and international authorities.
