Beschreibung der Einrichtung

Our Waldorfkindergarten is located in Rickenbach-Altenschwand, a little village in der border-triangle between Germany-France and Switzerland. It was founded in 1991 and was the first Waldorfkindergarten in the Hotzenwald region, which is a beautiful landscape in the Black Forest. The Kindergarten is located in an old farmhouse and hosts a "family group" of 15 children from 1 up to 7 years. The children are taken of two experienced kindergartners. Our Waldorf Kindergarten cooperates with a little therapeutical farm in the neighbourhood.
The every day life of our Kindergarden group can be compared to the life of a big family.
According to the Waldorf philosophy we pursue a child-centered approach with the commitment to an individual and integral advancement of each child. The early childhood curriculum therefore centers on experimental education, allowing children to learn by example, and oppotunities for imaginative play. Our Kindergarten offers a big and beautiful garden, where the children play every day during summer and wintertime. Additionally, our Kindergarten has a little trailer with a shed in the forest, where the group spends a few hours from time to time.

Furthermore, the cooperation between educators, children and parents is a central point in Waldorf philosophy.
