The Ländliche Erwachsenenbildung in Niedersachsen e.V. (in English: Rural Adult Education in Lower Saxony, LEB for short) is accredited according to the Lower Saxony Adult Education Act. From here, the LEB divides into nine regions and a Headquarter in Hanover, covering the entire state of Lower Saxony. With more than 2,000 groups and associations, the LEB is responsible for and coordinates the largest education Network in Lower Saxony. The educational work of the LEB in Lower Saxony refers to

- Promoting cultural life in the communities
- Integration of disadvantaged Groups (Young People, immigrants)
- Refugee work
- Vocational education and Training

For five years, the focus of work within the LEB has been on integration counseling for migrants from 25 different countries and, since 2015, the social work for refugees who have come to Lower Saxony. In this work area also the ESC project is to be settled.
In the Hildesheim education center language and integration courses for refugees and migrants take place. In order for them to feel better accepted in Germany and to gain knowledge beyond the content of the courses, we need the commitment of volunteers. With commitment to organizing seminars, learning and teaching languages, and expanding the local network, volunteers make an enormous contribution to the integration of refugees and migrants. Integration is important for local social life. Volunteers can also act as mediators at various levels. Through their commitment, migrants, project managers and other civil society actors can come into contact with one another without pressure.
In addition, the volunteers have the opportunity to work on their own (mini) project and thus get to know project management in adult education from start to finish, always supported by specialist mentors.
The Hildesheim education center offers two places for European volunteers. You are part of our team for 12 months. This consists of professional and voluntary staff. You will come into contact with refugees and migrants and support them in making contacts, finding help or just having fun. This is how you become part of our international community. We look forward to volunteers who enjoy learning languages and to exchange ideas with people from all over the world. We look forward to communicating with you in German or English.
In your country of origin, an organization will discuss everything you need to know about your time abroad in a preparatory seminar. In Romania, Ukraine, Belarus and Egypt we already have contacts with organizations with whom we work well and trustingly. In Germany you will have a mentor and a Tutor at your side. The tutor guides you professionally and is at your side with all questions about your voluntary service. The mentor will help you with topics that concern the private area of your stay in Germany. You will be accommodated in Hildesheim, in a shared apartment or in a room with family connection. There and as part of our team you will certainly be able to settle in quickly.

Die Ländliche Erwachsenenbildung in Niedersachsen e.V. (kurz LEB) ist nach dem Niedersächsischen Erwachsenenbildungsgesetz akkreditiert. Von hier aus gliedert sich der LEB in neun Regionen und eine Zentrale in Hannover, die das gesamte Bundesland Niedersachsen abdecken. Mit mehr als 2.000 Gruppen und Vereinen ist die LEB verantwortlich für und koordiniert das größte Bildungsnetzwerk Niedersachsens. Die Bildungsarbeit der LEB in Niedersachsen bezieht sich auf

Mehrere LEB-Bildungszentren bieten Plätze für europäische Freiwillige an. Du bist 6 - 8 Monate Teil unseres Teams. Dieses besteht aus professionellen und ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeitern. Hier gibt es verschiedene Einsatzmöglichkeiten im Bereich Umwelt- und Naturschutz, in der internationalen Bildung, in der Arbeit mit Geflüchteten und anderen einkommensschwachen Gruppen. So wirst du Teil unserer internationalen Community. Wir freuen uns auf Freiwillige, die gerne Sprachen lernen und sich mit Menschen aus der ganzen Welt austauschen möchten. Wir freuen uns auf die Kommunikation mit dir auf Deutsch oder Englisch. In deinem Herkunftsland bespricht eine Entsendeorganisation in einem Vorbereitungsseminar alles, was du über deinen Auslandsaufenthalt wissen musst. In Rumänien, der Ukraine und Weißrussland haben wir bereits Kontakte zu Organisationen, mit denen wir gut und vertrauensvoll zusammenarbeiten. In Deutschland hast du eine*n Mentor*in und eine*n Tutor*in an deiner Seite. Der*Die Tutor*in begleitet dich professionell und steht dir bei allen Fragen rund um den Freiwilligendienst zur Seite. Der*Die Mentor*in hilft bei Themen, die den privaten Bereich deines Aufenthalts in Deutschland betreffen.
Im Europäischen Freiwilligendienst und dem späteren Solidaritätscorps sind wir seit 2017 aktiv. Seitdem haben wir an vier Standorten mehrere Freiwillige aufgenommen. Die Freiwilligen haben uns in unserer interkulturellen Arbeit sehr unterstützen können.
Ab 2022 sind wir auch als Entsendeorganisation tätig. Durch unsere bisherigen Erfahrungen als Aufnahmeorganisation wissen wir, welche Bedürfnisse sowohl die Organisationen als auch die Freiwilligen haben, und können diese befriedigen, indem wir sie bereits vor der Abreise umfassend unterstützen. Während des Aufenthalts im Ausland sind wir weiterhin als Ansprechpartner verfügbar und werden nach der Rückkehr die Evaluation gemeinsam mit der Aufnahmeorganisation durchführen - genauso wie auch wir es von unseren Partnern erwarten, wenn wir Freiwillige aufnehmen.
