The "Scientia Populo Knin" Association was founded on August 22, 2014 as an association that addresses the problem of under-education as well as the negative attitude towards education and science in all age groups. The Association promotes education and science as the foundation of any successful society, promotes and popularizes German language and culture, nurtures Croatian-German friendship based on centuries-old historical connection between Croatia and Germany, promotes and popularizes Croatian culture, promotes and protects cultural and historical heritage.
The "Scientia Populo" Association advocates systematic and continuing education and investment in science in order to create more social value.
In this way we create an individual who is a responsible and active member of society and as such contributes to its development. We promote the involvement of all members of civil society, regardless of their social and educational status, involvement of persons with disabilities in education systems and in active social life. We conduct informal education, information and networking, both at the level of the Republic of Croatia and internationally.

Our general goals are:
1) Promotion of the idea and importance of non-formal education and lifelong learning,
2) Improvment of the institutional framework for the better position of the individual in society,
3) Encouragement of the active participation of an individual regardless of his/her social position in all spheres of social life
4) Increament of the visibility of the education, science and culture sectors.

The mission of the "Scientia Populo" Association is to base the activities of all volunteers and members on the following core values: respect for diversity, open communication and information sharing, free expression of opinion, teamwork and collaboration in performing activities, innovation, originality and creativity, responsibility towards work, reputation, society, property and people.

Our strategic objectives are divided in three macro areas:
1) Education
2) Science
3) Culture
Regarding "education" we organize professional orientation of children to enroll in high school and college, foreign language courses (German and English) and other various educational lectures, mobility of students and the unemployed. About "science" we organize scientific conferences and lectures with eminent Croatian and foreign scientists, seminars on writing scientific papers. About "culture" we support the protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage and the old children's game "Sparkling and fallen", the promotion and actualization of Knin cultural heritage as the center of the first Croatian state in the 9th century (Diocese near Knin, Knin Fortress…) and organize various cultural events and exhibitions, as well as international cooperation.

Our regular activities are the following:
- Scientia Populo Youth Club. Under the overall objective of increasing the social inclusion of young "Scientia populo" association, in partnership with the local government units of Knin and the Diocese, and the Step by Step Parents' Association, we have developed a project to open a youth club to encourage quality leisure time for young people from 15 to 29 year. It is planned to include at least 120 young people as direct beneficiaries of the project. Beneficiary identification will be implemented through the promotion of the project among high school students in Knin, students of the University of Knin, unemployed young people, and all other potential project beneficiaries from the above age group. With the support of professionals working with young people, project activities will be implemented to improve social skills and competences in the labor market, as well as the social inclusion of young people.There is a great need for more active and creative leisure, but also a lack of basic prerequisites: a secured space for young people to organize or self-organize, and with appropriate need to create content focused on their engagement in society and community development. to learning and / or perfecting knowledge and skills that can make it easier for them to recruit, create their own home-based business, start a small business;
- Small German language school called "Magische Kiste" in cooperation with the Association for Children and Youth "The Magical World" in Knin. The participants are children aged 4 to 7 years;
- Non-formal German language education programs for preschool and college students and adults. German language courses (for students and adults) are conducted in groups of 7-10 students starting at A1.1. with the possibility of transitioning to higher levels of study. Classes are held 2 times a week for 2 school hours (45 min);
