Arte e Cultura Sociale (Arcus) is a youth and civil society organization, based in the town of Bedizzole, in the Province of Brescia – in Lombardy Region. It works as a network for creative production, reflection and cultural exchange, establishing a cross-subject position for intervention in social issues. Our mission is the support and special concern we have for youth and specially youth from disadvantaged groups and their world, therefore everything that involves them; from work, training, art, culture, equal opportunity and equal rights. The Organization promots understanding and tolerance between people and society groups with different cultures, religions, races, social, economical background and health condition; promote integration of people with less opportunities and equal rights for everybody. This is the common thread which connects all of our developed and implemented activities and projects years-long experience in managing local project integrated in a regional network that provides counselling about education, training courses, voluntary work, European projects, and local cultural events. Association ArCuS has been created by experienced members working in public area and with years-long experience in managing local project integrated in a regional network that provides counselling, education, training courses, voluntary work, European projects, and local cultural events. The main range of activities are based on non-formal education, intercultural learning and mobility projects. The organization mainly focuses on the projects to achieve the following aims: to make the youth be aware of their civic responsibility and increase active citizenship; to promote a healthy lifestyle and show the consequences of bad habits; to raise environmental awareness and the significance of environmental protection among the youth; to advocate for human rights and equality; to underpin peacebuilding and conflict prevention; to support local schoolchildren and students in their self-development process. We implemented plenty of local projects in direction of our priorities; and in the framework of our projects, we collaborated with many local and international organizations and governmental bodies.
The main target groups of Arcus are: - Marginalized youth (unemployed, drop-outs, disorientated, economically disadvantaged, with immigrant back groung and Youth leaving in rural areas) - Youth in general (prevalently aged from 13 to 24 years old); - Youth workers; - Local community of partner Municipalities; - Citizens with interest in Culture, Ecology, Rural development, European citizenship who want to learn and share their knowledge on the topics.
