Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

AEGEE-Napoli is an Italian students organization, local branch of AEGEE-Europe - the European Students Forum. AEGEE-Napoli is a non-governmental, politically independent and non-profit organization, open to young people from any background, operating since 1993 in the fields of Youth Policy, European Integration, intercultural communication. We envision a democratic, diverse and borderless Europe, which is socially, economically and politically integrated, and values the participation of young people in its construction and development. We empower students and young people in Europe to take an active role in society, we create spaces for dialogue and learning opportunities for them and we perform as their representative towards decision-makers. Our local projects include seminars, conferences, discussion forums on socially relevant topics (i.e. sustainable development, social entrepreneurship, migration); we are also extremely active in the organization of international projects, running up to 6 international youth exchanges/training courses/conferences each year. All our activities make extensive use of non-formal education methodologies, and we actively try to bring these methodologies in formal environments like Universities by developing partnerships with academic departments. Across the years we have developed a strong network that has brought us to several positions of responsibility, like being part of the Regional Youth Forum and being Local Coordination Point of the No Hate Speech Movement. Our association and all our activities are entirely run by volunteers.
