Antalya Directorate of Family ,Labour and Social Services which has a wide range of target groups in the society, such as people who are in poverty, children, women, disabled persons, old-aged persons and the Roma people. Over 250 staff is working at the local level of the Directorate. We work on implementation and monitoring with our partners including other governmental and non-governmental institutions and mechanisms in the field of social policy and anti-discrimination in order to strengthen the link between employment, education and social inclusion policies to facilitate the integration of disadvantaged persons. We support any activities regarding social assistance, ease integration of disabled persons and young people to the economic and social life.

The main responsibilities are stated below:
•To make, implement and monitor policies of social services and assistance,
•To ease the employment of the disadvantaged persons,
•To implement any activities regarding social assistance,
•To make and implement policies for protection of children,
•To improve the status of the women and prevent any discrimination against women,
•To ease integration of disabled persons and old-aged person to the economic and social life,
•To coordinate the policy and strategy making process for poverty,
•To protect the institution of family,
•To monitor the social assistance system through a central database.

There are departments at local level, namely, Centres for Protection, Caring and Rehabilitation of Children, Social Support and Assistance Services; Protective and Preventive Services, Centres for Rehabilitation and Caring Services for Protection of Disabled, Old-aged, Women in addition to the coordination and administrative units and Social Support Programme for Family (ASDEP) coordination. Although there are specialized institutions and units functioning on various fields of social policy through focusing on specific target groups and socio-economic situations creating disadvantage for these groups, very few institutions conduct research-oriented policies in an integrated and multidimensional manner.

Antalya Provincial Directorate of Family, Labor and Social Services is affiliated to the Ministry of Family Labor and Social Services and provides services to Antalya and its Districts. In order to increase the welfare of individuals, families and communities, our main aim is to produce, implement and monitor fair and supply-oriented holistic social policies with a participatory approach targeting the whole society, with the priority of the disadvantaged. We are working on Family and Society, Children, Women, Elderly, Migrants, Martyr Relatives and Veterans and Social Aid. Our fields of services are social and economic support, adoption, foster family, elderly care and rehabilitation, voluntary services and disadvantaged children. We offer various services in certain standards. Within the various institutional arrangements, service models and standards, we find solutions to protect children from exploitation, violence, abuse and neglect in Antalya Province. A total of 113 staff, 111 of which are Child Care staff and 2 maintenance coordinators, are employed in each of the youth and children's houses.
