Beschreibung der Einrichtung

Peace Action Community Estonia is a civil society organisation promoting human rights & democracy and enhancing peace building in Estonia and elsewhere. We work with teenagers, young adults and educators across Estonia. Our two main workstreams are the following:

Culture of Peace
All of PACE's activities intend to bring together marginalised and less privileged young people. We have a special emphasis on connecting with youngsters with different mother tongues to help the integration process in Estonia. Our events and public actions can include arts, culture, entrepreneurship and the tech field. PACE's objective is to help young people from different societal groups to connect with each other and we are happy to use elements from different industries to make it happen.

Peace Education
We produce and distribute educational materials promoting peace and peaceful mindset in educational institutions across Estonia. We cooperate with relevant stakeholders, such as other major educational NGOs and universities in order to produce high-quality peace education study materials and lesson plans. We partner with numerous schools, especially in the East of Estonia, to test our materials and receive input from the target group. We also produce online study courses to promote peaceful mindset and civic engagement.

Our organisation focuses on the following areas:
- Empowering young people from marginalised and disadvantaged communities
- Building peace between segregated or conflicted communities
- Creating partnerships between countries in the European Union, East Partnership and Middle Eastern regions
- Promoting democracy and active citizenship
- Enhancing civil engagement in local communities
All of PACE’s activities support our aim to create a world where human rights would be provided for everybody.
