GYEEK is an IT and Startup community that aims to increase the entrepreneurial and digital skills among young people in Csongrád-Csanád County, more specifically in Szeged and in its surroundings. The organisation is strongly connected to the local reality and startup ecosystem.

GYEEK is a diverse IT, startup, and design community that has a secure local connection. The organization was established in 2017 by Dominik Földi, an IT developer and social entrepreneur. Our organization is delighted to have trainers, experts, and many volunteers who have more than a decade of experience with innovative development projects.
Our goal is to raise awareness among the youth and adults of global challenges. There are several innovative and creative solutions in our work to identify and meet the challenges individuals, students, and adults are facing. The answers are mindful of enabling especially young adults, but also adults generally, develop and improve their own lives. The support we provide is based on the needs identified by our target groups. The team is organizing meetups, workshops, community-building events, keeping IT clubs, coding and classes for beginners to achieve these goals. The team is continuously growing with new and exciting people. The group consists of 20+ people from different fields such as IT, development, graphic facilitation, graphic design, youth worker, teacher, gardener, farmer, computer science, manager, psychologist, marketing, financials, sales, web design. Our team is an expert on project management, content creation and web page development. Also, we have the means to address our target groups with quality work. We want to work on innovative ideas that work and which successful ideas can be replicated worldwide.

Because of its nonprofit nature, the organization greatly promotes social work by focusing on social and green challenges. The association members often participate in these events such as Social Digital Innovation; social entrepreneurship themed hackathons, holds workshops, and offers free digital knowledge to support social enterprises and individuals. Since the presence of GYEEK, three other nonprofit organizations were founded by one or more of our members because of our impact.
The organization's goal is to increase digital sustainable thinking and bring new innovative development to young people's lives. The organization organized 24 meetups and workshops on current social and innovative topics, taught digital skills for elementary and high school pupils, and one big hackathon just over the year of 2019. GYEEK's events reached about 1000 different people directly at their events and many more because of our local schools' activities.
