MOMOtheaterwerkplaats provides tailored day prgrammes (theatre activities) It is the central place where theater productions are made by people with a mental disability . We are a foundation with 15 employees and many volunteers, freelancers and interns. In total there are 48 people in the staff. And 43 participants with a (mental) disability. Under the leadership of experienced theater makers, productions are developed in an atmosphere of artistic experience and shared responsibility. By starting from the individual input and possibilities of the participants and by discovering everyone's talents, the process towards the theater performance contributes to everyone's personal development.

The pillars on which Momotheaterwerkplaats rests are personal development, artistry and community. We strive to make people with possibilities and unprecedented talents visible and give them a stage. In this way we are at the center of society, we can see each other, meet and learn from each other. In this way we try to improve the quality of life by working together in an artistic way.

MOMOtheaterwerkplaats works and builds (both literally and figuratively) on a stable artistic working community. MOMOtheaterwerkplaats has a beautiful theater hall where performances are developed.
There are studios for music, film, set construction and clothing. Furthermore, the offer consists of drama, theater crafts such as making clothing, attributes, sets and masks, dances and music and making video presentations, film theater and script development.
MOMO has hosted volunteers from abroad (Russia, Germany ) before . We know from experience that working with foreign volunteers is challenging because of the language barrier & cultural differences. Nevertheless, we believe that it is important for everyone involved (our clients, the staff and the volunteers themselves) to broaden their view of the world, to stimulate them to be more open and tolerant towards different cultures and to learn from each other.
