Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

Ogólnopolski Operator Oświaty - eng. Nationwide Education Operator (NEO) is one of the biggest education foundations in Poland. The main activity of the foundation is running educational institutions, it means kindergartens, primary schools, sceondary school. The foundation runs schools and kindergartens in six provinces in Poland. The main cities and locations where schools and kindergartens are: Poznan, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Lodz, Nakonowo (village) close to Torun, Rękusy (village) close to Ełk. Nowadays, NEO provides care and education to over 5,000 children in 63 centres; kindergartens provide care and education to children 3-6 aged, primary schools provide education to children and youth 7-15 aged.

The Foundation achieves its goals through the following activities:
1) running various types of educational and care facilities for children and youth;
2) providing education in kidernagrtens and schools including:
a) expanding the pupils' knowledge of culture, caring for cultural heritage, history, patriotism, learning social and moral attitudes as citizens of Poland and Europe (a citizen of the European Union);
b) conducting environmental education, caring for the environment, organizing pro-environmental projects;
c) popularizing sports, organizing Olympic/sport classes, supporting various talents, taking care of health through movement, sports and outdoor activities;
d) popularization of a healthy lifestyle, healthy balanced nutrition, fighting overweight among children and adolescents;
3) activities supporting the development of children with special educational needs (organization of specialized education, compensation classes, support for children with certificates of disability);
4) activities related to the development of teaching staff and teaching staff through the organization of trainings and courses as well as projects integrating teaching staff and the lifelong learning process;
5) activities supporting family integration, intergenerational activities child-parent; activities aimed at parents in educational and care institutions;
6) using of new technologies, ICT tools in the learning process;
7) applying pedagogical innovations, developing new working/teaching methods with the use of specialized teaching aids;
8) cooperation with institutions of local government;
9) international cooperation with foreign organizations.

In addition to activities related to running educational institutions, NEO implements additional projects financed from external financing sources (public, private, EU funds, EEA Grants, other). These projects are focused on strengthening the educational offer of the operated institutions, as well as on solving social problems related to education, care and upbringing - they are a response to the needs of local communities / educational institutions.

The foundation is a dynamically developing non-governmental organization. NEO constantly takes up new challenges, supports the development of employees, children and youth. The strength and importance of the organization is measured by the development of human capital. The organization has the intrinsic motivation to create space for future volunteers. The Foundation is ready to share its rich experience, but is also open to cooperation and gaining valuable knowledge from future volunteers.
