SOS Faim aspires to a world without hunger by promoting an alternative form of agriculture to the dominant industrial model : family-based, more sustainable, resilient and inclusive. In Africa, SOS Faim works in partnership with farmers organizations, rural microfinance institutions and human rights organizations. It offers institutional support for the overall strenghtening of the partners ; financial support to facilitate the implementation of their strategic action plan. In Luxembourg, the global citizenship education and advocacy, notably through its campaign « Let’s change the menu ! » are complementary to the supports in Africa. The creation of a eco-place dedicated to an agri-food transition is a new ambitious step of our work in Luxembourg.

Through its project, ‘TERANGA - the House of Food Transition’, SOS Faim wants to create a place to meet, exchange, learn and mobilize in favour of an alternative agricultural model and food transition.

In this place, the inhabitants of Schifflange (and surroundings) will meet other people, share a local drink, buy local products, meet farmers and support them, take part in a cultural event (concert, exhibitions, workshops). The objective is to create a place that makes people dream and move towards a fairer and more equitable world.
