"Focus on Youth" association it’s a youth organisation that was created for the purpose of promoting young people/adolescents and their interests in society through national/international volunteers.
Our association conceives, organises, promotes and carries-out non-formal education activities and projects in Romania and other countries abroad that aim at the preparation, training and continuous development of the teenagers and young people at a personal and professional level.
Our organisation has the aim to work and offer opportunities to young people and teenagers who come from the rural and small urban areas of Valcea County, especially from areas with distances between 30 and 50 km and more, in comparison with the city of Ramnicu Valcea, because for these teenagers the access to various extracurricular activities is reduced due to the very long distance from the city, where it could be much more accessible.
Also, the organization works with young people from the small towns of Valcea county aged between 15-20 years, who fit into the profile of young people with limited opportunities (who come from families that benefit from state aid, from single-parent families or with parents gone abroad, young people and teenagers with poor results in school, but a potential for development, young people and teenagers from large families and incomes at the limit of survival).
Our target group is formed of young people from rural areas, national and international volunteers.
