Lycée Elie Vinet is a public general and technological high school that trains its students to obtain the French Baccalauréat but also prepares them for higher education. It includes classes ranging from Seconde to the Final (senior) year.
The school welcomes about 550 pupils and students from rural areas, sometimes remotely located, and the small town of Barbezieux (5000 inhabitants) in Charente, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Our pupils are aged 15 to 18 years old, sometimes a little younger or a little older.
The highschool also offers two higher education sections (training in two years to obtain a "bac + 2" type diploma): two BTSs (a BTS is a Higher Technician Certificate), one in Small and Medium Business Management, the other in IT Service to Organizations (4 classes as a whole).
