The purpose of "Verbund e. V." is child and youth welfare. There are 2 fields of activity for the ESC:
The MFG, a leisure club for children aged 6-13, offers children an open leisure programme from Monday-Friday from 1pm to 6pm. Excursions, short trips and overnight stays for children are also organised. Around half of the children being cared for are of non-German origin. What all children have in common is their social disadvantage. The MFG activities are an offer for integration on a cultural, social and societal level. European volunteers can support the MFG team in organising leisure activities and/or develop their own projects and carry them out independently. These can be sporting, creative or even cookery activities, depending on where the volunteers' interests lie.
The second area of activity is the EYS workcamp programme. EYS camps are an international exchange programme for young people aged 18-26 in Germany. The camps last 2 weeks and enable young people to get involved in meaningful, socially relevant projects. ESC volunteers can gain an insight into all phases of the EYS workcamp programme and support the workcamp work according to their skills and interests. The following areas of responsibility are open to volunteers: Volunteer management (preparation and planning of workcamps), public relations (participation in events), leading a camp in a team (preparing and carrying out leisure activities, organising the daily routine in the camp, actively participating in the camp work).
