Dreaming OPEnly e.V. (DOPE) is a non-profit organisation based in Leipzig, Germany. Originally established as an informal group of young people in September 2020, it became an official association in January 2023. DOPE aims to offer young people in Germany and abroad learning experiences rooted in non-formal education approaches. DOPE aims to promote transformative change through non-formal education, critical thinking, and artistic expression. To achieve this, DOPE develops innovative projects that raise awareness and spread values aligned with the socio-ecological change the organisation seeks.
DOPE believes in the need to transform our societies to be more sustainable, not only environmentally but also socially. To achieve this, DOPE emphasises the potential of artistic expression as a tool for self-development and the importance of advancing new learning methodologies to address the needs of younger generations. These methodologies utilise innovative media and elements of pop culture which resonate with today's youth.
