The Albanian Organisation of the Order of Malta (Malteser Albania) is part of the Order of Malta worldwide. It works, since 1995, on projects and activities, standing by those who need a caring hand, under the motto “Tuitio fidei et obsequium pauperum”- Defense of the Faith and Assistance to the Poor and the Suffering. Malteser Albania is a NGO, established in 1995 by “Malteser Hilfsdienst” of Germany which is also its main donor. The organization's headquarter is in Shkodra (northern region of Albania). Our organization programs are focused on medical, social, education and civil protection field, providing help and support to people in need throughout Albania. The success of our activities is based on the trustful cooperation with the national and international partners, local communities, volunteers, as well as our donors. Malteser Albania is committed to support people throughout Albania, through sustainable services, programs and support services. Malteser Albania is committed to provide a better future for people in need by providing services to them, including the positive potentials of society and increasing social welfare, combining the skills of the target group with the best expertise of Malteser Albania staff and volunteers. Volunteers and youngsters are a valuable resource in Malteser, willingly working for the betterment of the community and themselves. Malteser Albania has always received support and collaborates with national and international partners.
