Charitable Foundation “Caritas Georgia”, founded in 1994, is actively working in the fields of emergency response, humanitarian, social, health and development. Caritas Georgia has been serving the indigent population of Georgia since its establishment. It has been working on creating such a Georgian society that protects each individual's dignity and fundamental rights. Peace, justice, mercy, and solidarity are established, and public interests prevail over individual interests. Based on the preceding, Caritas Georgia aims to promote human development and social justice, bring relief to vulnerable and disadvantaged people, and encourage self-responsibility and dignity.
“Caritas Georgia” is a valuable member of the “Caritas Europa” Network and the “Caritas Internationalis” Confederation, and operates in line with its projects and programs to help vulnerable people - the lonely elderly, homeless adults and children, people with disabilities, home care patients, poverty eradication – Listening Centers and Poverty Observatory, Humanitarian Soup-Kitchen and Day-Care Centers. In terms of development, Caritas Georgia is implementing various projects for the education and vocational training of children and adolescents, the re-integration of voluntarily returned migrants, and the development and strengthening of rural communities.
