Our organization, CEIP Antonio Machado, embarked on the journey of the Active and Experiential School project to address the concerns of our teachers regarding the traditional behaviorist model prevalent in the schools of the Murcia region. As a school deeply committed to the well-being of our entire educational community, CEIP Antonio Machado constantly seeks tools and reflections aimed at fostering holistic development.

Initiated in the academic year 2019-2020, our project leverages our team's potential to implement a consensual plan of change centered on the well-being of children and multidisciplinary learning, informed by advancements in neuroscience. This approach allowed us to analyze our school's reality, set clear goals, and serve as a beacon of support during the challenging times of the pandemic.

In our relentless pursuit of well-being, we distance ourselves from traditional methodologies that foster competitiveness and dependence, lacking in essential life skills. Our experienced teaching staff has witnessed the limitations of the traditional model, often leading to student frustration and disinterest. Thus, our project aims to offer an alternative educational approach that caters to individualized, free, and conscious personal development.

At the heart of our project lies the overarching goal of implementing a methodology guided by the principles of active and experiential pedagogy.
