Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

We are a Council of elected representatives from 32 towns (Communes) in Northern Brittany, France. 150 000 inhabitants live in our area of 600,7 km2. There are around 600 civil servants in the organisation. Budget for 2024 is 265M€ (including 95,4 M€ of investment).

The 32 communes have come together and delegated the following policies to our organisation in compliance with French law:
- economic development
- planning
- housing
- urban policies
- water management and flooding
- relation with and services to travellers (gens du voyage)
- collection and management of waste from households
- rain water and grey water management
The Council chose to implement a few more policies for the Communes on top of the compulsory ones : culture, international co-operation, research, childhood, youth, environment protection, health, network of footpaths, sport, etc. They are all listed here : https://www.saintbrieuc-armor-agglo.bzh/comprendre-lagglomeration/linstitution/les-competences
