Croatian Association of Visual Artists - Split, (in Croatian: Hrvatska udruga likovnih umjetnika - Split, HULU-Split) was founded in 1945, and the association boasts over 500 members of professional artists, curators, and other cultural and interdisciplinary workers. From 1961. HULU Split administers and organizes exhibition program in Salon Galić, the oldest still active gallery in the city of Split and the wider region, with a rich exhibition history dating back to 1924 and is currently a protected national cultural heritage. It organizes community focused exhibition program, and engages in various activities that support numerous social causes. We engage with exhibitions, art therapy projects, charity auctions and exhibitions, education, workshops, panels etc.tists; HULU Split go beyond supporting visual artists; we are fundamentally centered on enriching the cultural landscape, fostering community engagement through art, and driving societal development. Our goals is: promotion of visual arts, supporting artistic diversity and collaboration, community engagement and accessibility, empowerment of artists and cultural professionals, promotion of artistic and cultural heritage, education and public awareness, fostering societal progress through art and culture. We are currently associated with public hospital in Split where we also have exhibition programme in gallery Zoja Dumengjic that focuses on mental and physical healing and well-being through art.
