The Albuñol Town Hall is responsible for managing the services and resources of the most populated municipality in the Alpujarra of Granada. Located between the sea and mountains, Albuñol is characterized by its cultural diversity, welcoming people from various backgrounds. The Town Hall promotes social integration and local development, supporting projects that foster multiculturalism and the well-being of its citizens. Our mission is to build an inclusive community where every individual, regardless of challenges faced, feels supported and empowered to participate in society. We are committed to addressing various social challenges, such as functional diversity, health issues, cultural differences, socioeconomic difficulties, discrimination, and geographic isolation affecting those in rural areas like Albuñol. To achieve these goals, we support activities like educational programs in collaboration with local schools, assistance for sports associations, workshops in adult education centers, and support for the elderly and individuals with functional diversity. We also promote activities that encourage the integration of immigrant communities. The primary target groups are the elderly, disadvantaged youth, individuals with disabilities, and immigrants. Through this network of services and collaborations, we work toward creating a cohesive, inclusive community, involving European volunteers in alignment with the principles of the European Solidarity Corps.
