Theaterwerkstatt für aktive Kultur e.V. - TAK e.V.STUDIO 7 Theater) is a cultural organization based in Schwerte, Germany. Our aim is to foster integration, civic engagement, and "theatre as meeting". We see our work as part of providing essential cultural services for our community. We use art as a tool for social solidarity, exploring themes like human fragility, social justice, and climate justice to lay ground for an active solidary citizenship. Our activities include a diverse range of non-formal educational programs. On a regular basis, we run our "Circus ReFugi" for children, a youth theatre group, and a singing workshop for adults & seniors. On an irregular basis, we also develop large-scale, participatory community theatre projects, together with festivals and other cultural players. These local projects are complemented by our participation in international co-productions, including Creative Europe projects like "Caravan NEXT" (2015-2019), "FATE" (2020-2022), and "Green E.Th.I.C.s" (2022-2026). We cooperate closely with the "Auf der Heide" cultural center, which serves as a local hub for community events. Our target groups are intentionally diverse, bringing together professionals and amateurs, people with and without migration backgrounds, and all ages (from 8 to 88). We actively prioritize the inclusion of newcomers, immigrant communities, and socially vulnerable or marginalized individuals in all our work - recently through collaboration with the deaf community.
- This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
