Daughter of the Mediterranean is a feminist, social enterprise founded by a young Egyptian woman in 2023, emerging from the YERAME project, - an EU-Funded ERASMUS-YOUTH-2022-CB project - and legally registered in Egypt under No. 245218, it targets women aged 16 to 35 in the Euro-Mediterranean region, aiming to empower them through capacity building, leadership opportunities, and gender-responsive initiatives. Our Key Objectives: Empowering Women through Education and Skills Development: Equip women with the knowledge and tools to overcome socio-economic and climate-related barriers. Promoting Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship: Provide women with financial literacy, business skills, and access to resources to foster economic independence and sustainable entrepreneurship. Advancing Climate Justice: Advocate for sustainable solutions that address the unique climate challenges faced by women, especially in rural and marginalized areas. Encouraging Leadership and Social Change: Inspire young women to take leadership roles, driving change and contributing to their communities’ growth and resilience in the face of climate challenges. Promoting Mental Health and Emotional Resilience: Offer support to enhance mental and emotional well-being, ensuring women are equipped to face personal and societal challenges. Fostering Inclusivity and Equal Opportunities: Ensure that women from all backgrounds have access to resources and opportunities to thrive in a changing world.
