Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

The Northern Lights operates in rural Rhône-Alpes region marked by agricultural challenges and rural abandonment. Our mission is to regenerate the social and natural environment through cultivating crops, mind and togetherness. We aim to empower youth for sustainable development, encouraging intuitive learning paths and building a network of eco-projects across Europe. Our key activities encompass: A. Agroforestry Demonstration Site B. Training Change Makers: Workshops, youth mobility projects, volunteering, practical applications, and communication C. Network Capacity-Building: Creating a collaboration platform for eco-projects in France and abroad D. Public Awareness Raising: Online and offline communication and cultural events about regenerative practices Our primary target audience comprises individuals aged 18 to 35, including young people and leaders seeking training in green transition, climate change adaptation, and regenerative living. Activities also involve adults facing economic and educational challenges. We prioritize public awareness through dissemination events, sharing values and knowledge on sustainability, European values, and solidarity. Collaborations with local and regional farmer associations (ADDEAR 01, Confédération Paysanne en Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, Ver de Terre Production, Association pour le Développement de l’Agroécologie et de l’Agroforesterie, Atelier Paysan) and a primary school partnership for "green" afternoons enhance our impact.
