Foundation “FOR TOMORROW” is a non-profit organization established in 2017 in Blagoevgrad. Its mission is to support young people with special educational needs (SEN) and intellectual disabilities by developing their abilities and promoting inclusion through training, workshops, and social integration programs. The foundation aims to improve the quality of life and social participation of youth with SEN or developmental challenges, encourage the exchange of good practices, and foster awareness and equality. It helps them become active, independent citizens instead of lifelong users of social services. Main activities include non-formal learning, education, employment support, early intervention, professional diagnostics, protection from discrimination, and initiatives preventing social exclusion. Its target group—young people with SEN and intellectual disabilities—often face low confidence, dependence on others’ opinions, and social isolation. The foundation works locally and internationally to overcome these barriers and promote self-belief and independence. In 2018, it funded a Center for Work with Youth with SEN at South-West University “Neofit Rilski.” In 2021/2022, it renovated two classrooms at Fourth Primary School “Dimcho Debelyanov”, providing adapted equipment, didactic materials, and professional support. Through consistent, patient, and inclusive work, “FOR TOMORROW” continues helping young people realize their potential and secure lasting social integration.
